The New Forests Project was established in 1982 to support rural farmers and local organizations in developing countries that are working to restore degraded lands and protect natural resources. More specifically, the program has been supporting reforestation, agroforestry and sustainable agriculture practices by providing training materials, educational assistance, networking, high quality tree seeds, irrigation, water disinfecting equipment and financial support to local efforts.
